Description
Data Delivery and Analytics Technology group is responsible for driving the emerging and dynamic Business Intelligence and Analytics space and provide enterprise wide solutions. We are currently looking for a solid and motivated Java developer to join our team. The team is fast paced, dynamic, results oriented and currently handles development matters related to Business Intelligence. The position will be to perform application development with the Business Objects SDK. The candidate will work on user facing tooling (including web applications, web services, relational databases, desktop (winforms) and server-side applications).
+ Design, code and maintain new and existing applications.
+ Work with the our internal clients to understand their needs and define how our products and infrastructure will meet those needs
+ Research and assess new technologies, vendor and open source libraries, implement proof-of-concept prototypes.
+ Investigate, identify and fix defects for existing applications.
+ Create conceptual and detailed designs for the components being developed or integrated into the environment
+ Participate in on-call rotation for problem management.
+ Manage software releases.
Skills Required
+ Strong programming background, Excellent problem solving, organizational and communications skills.
+ Good analytical and design skills
+ Java, J2EE, Spring, C#
+ Development Experience on Eclipse IDE and Visual Studio
+ Knowledge of Source Control tools such as Perforce or GIT.
+ Knowledge of Testing Frameworks (Junit, PowerMock etc)
+ Experience with Object Oriented Programming and design patterns
+ Experience working with Web Services, SOAP
+ Good RDBMS skills
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Skills Desired
+ Familiarity with Web Technologies such as AngularJS, HTML/DHTML, JavaScript, CSS
+ Experience with DB2 and Sybase.
+ Familiarity with the Unix/Linux shell
+ Experience with SAP Business Objects SDK and APIs.
+ Experience using messaging frameworks such as MQ, JMS.
+ Familiarity with different storage technologies (SAN, NAS, NFS, CIFS, etc)
