Robert Half are currently recruiting on behalf of a rapidly expanding manufacturing business based in the Stroud area. Our client are looking for an Interim Assistant Accountant to take on a reconciliation project in what is a busy time of year for the company. Additionally this Assistant Accountant position does have the scope to go permanently as the company is under going extreme expansion. This role will offer someone the opportunity to take on their own project and showcase their skill set in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
The Role
The job functions are outlined below, however they will not be limited to this within the post
. Ensure bank accounts are reconciled in a timely manner and discrepancies are identified, investigated and, when appropriate, escalated.
· Assist in the improvement and automation of cash and bank reconciliations.
· Report on cash levels and cash locations to allow visibility of cash across the group.
· Highlight risks relating to cash and cash management to the business by analyzing bank reconciliations for possible fraud and recommending action.
· Assist in the preparation of VAT returns.
· Support the administration of insurance claims and renewals
. Previous experience on an SAP system is required
Your Profile
The ideal candidate will be prepared to hit the ground running, having the suitable skill set and previous experience on an SAP system. Additionally the office has a very team-like mentality and you will therefore be expected to aid in all elements off the Finance Department where needs be.
