Job Description
- Oversee the operation and the material flow between suppliers, warehousing and production to ensure effective material distribution flow and manage the material return/reject to suppliers through respective buyers
- Ensure 3PL company can support material issuing from various inventory locations upon triggering by production controller
- Confirm receipt of inventory released material at production shop floor and getting our 3PL company to promptly update inventory system
- Ensure that material is delivered to production shop floor according to timeline and planned configuration for the individual project requirement/ sort string/ pitching determine by Manufacturing Engineer
- Responsible for all direct delivery items for Project thru respective buyers
- Liaise with direct delivery suppliers and production floor to pull in the right quantity at the right time to meet production requirements
- Responsible for providing material visibility to shop floor
- Ensure our 3PL company perform receipt and issue of JIT items in production shop floor and promptly update inventory system
- Consistent monitoring of actual response time taken by warehouse for the flow of material from Warehouse to Production based on scheduled timeline (LT offset)
- Assist Supply Planner for liaising with Warehouse on Materials issues
- Reporting directly to the Project Supply Planner
- Diploma in Logistics/ Transportation/ Supply Chain/ Manufacturing or equivalent
- At least 2 years' experience in related field
- Preferably with VMI experience
- Excellent team player
- Good attitude, positive thinking towards change and good interpersonal skill
- Able to multi task and work independently in a fast paced environment
- Good in MS Excel is an added advantage
- Knowledge in SAP system, SSA WMS system is an added advantage
