Global Manufacturing IT Manager
We have a manufacturing plant network in Canada, the Netherlands, Australia, Italy, and India. Those plants run on IT and our strategic advantage is the scale that IT brings.

We’ve undertaken a multiyear, multi-million dollar transformation of how we produce customized products for our customers. Our Mass Customization Platform includes custom software and our worldwide plant network. The transformation we’re undergoing is both a massive software re-architecture as well as an expansion of the plant network through new builds and company acquisitions. These changes will enable us to deliver a customized product to a customer conforming to the specifications we commit to at an unbeatable price point.

In this role you will lead the Manufacturing IT teams across the globe increasing the effectiveness of the Mass Customization Platform (MCP) through the application of technology and process improvement. By expanding the service catalog offered to each plant and meeting or exceeding the SLAs committed to, your teams will enable the highest uptimes and levels of efficiency of our plants.

You will be responsible for recommending future project priorities, addressing organizational changes to support business needs, and expanding the support model across the globe. You will actively work with the Manufacturing Leadership, Local Plant Leadership, Value Stream Organization leaders, Manufacturing Software solutions teams and the Tech Operations organization to prioritize their needs.


In This Role You Will
  • Provide leadership for the Manufacturing IT Organization by leading a team of managers and senior managers and their staff across the globe.
  • Establish and manage the expectations for the Manufacturing IT teams.
  • Develop a long term roadmap for the organization.
  • Partner with stakeholders to acquire a deep knowledge of current system challenges and develop standard offerings and participation in developing a service catalog.
  • Communicate with Manufacturing Leadership - both locally and globally, Manufacturing Software, the Manufacturing Site Reliability Engineer, and Tech Ops leadership on the direction and status of Manufacturing IT initiatives.
  • Assemble a high-functioning and exceptionally skilled team of IT professionals that will be required to take the Cimpress Manufacturing IT platform into the future.
  • Develop a team that can easily integrate new acquisitions into their support offering.
  • Drive automation to offload work from the teams.
  • Oversee accurate forecasting and reporting processes.
  • Oversee flawless and timely project execution through close monitoring and tracking of all KPIs and key deliverables.
  • Provide technical direction and oversight for Manufacturing IT projects and support models.
  • Manage software vendor relationships.
  • Establish SLA & benchmark monitoring & support.
  • Ensure the systems enhancements projects are being executed to plan.
  • Have the ability to articulate differences between solution methods as well as the challenges and approaches of integrating solutions built on different platforms.
  • Have the experience with architectural design of systems able to support data integration requests as part of Merger & Acquisition transactions.
Requirements Include
  • Bachelor's degree in MIS, Project Management, Computer Science or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of management experience of global or remote teams.
  • Demonstrated business process design and problem solving skills.
  • Proven project management skills and the ability to plan and manage team workloads.
  • Proven ability to measure productivity improvements for continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Experience working in a multi-national company with leadership experience across cultures.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing setting supporting lean principles.
  • Good presence and comfort with executives and superior relationship building capabilities.
  • Have the ability to influence others and drive change.
  • In-depth planning, forecasting, budgeting and reporting expertise.
  • Have the ability to adapt to change and drive change throughout the organization as needed.
  • International travel expected up to 30% during peak periods.
