Field Service Engineer – Marine & Diesel
Service is a vital point in Alfa Laval growing strategy and Service Operation is the organization carrying out these activities.
Present network is covering entire country using own workshop and Field Service engineers as well as authorized workshops.
Within the Service Operation we have an opportunity for a Field Service Engineer – Marine & Diesel. Reporting to the Field Service Engineer Coordinator, you will responsible for on-site preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis, repair of Alfa Laval Marine traditional products (predominately separators, booster, Fresh water generator, Plate heat exchager and PureBallast). You will also be required to do commissioning/start-up of new equipment and systems as well as inspection and audit visits.

Key tasks
- On-site preventive maintenance
- Fault diagnosis for Mechanical and Electrical problems
- Repair of Alfa Laval Marine traditional products and new products like: Pure Ballast, Pure Dry, Pure Sox
- Commissioning/start-up of new equipment
- Inspection and audit visits
- Research and provide information for part quotations to be used in customer quotations
- Solve and Report all problems encountered in the field during the commissioning for improve new solutions
- Guarantee support for solve the customer’s problems
Ideal candidate
- Electrical Engineering degree or Technical diploma with 5 years’ experience in similar job.
- Experienced as Officer on board
- Experience with Alfa Laval products onboard vessel.
- Good communication skills
- Experience with Automation, Electrical knoweldge
- Experience with installation, commissioning and on-site servicing of mechanical equipment
- Troubleshooting and fault diagnosis skills
- Self-organization, precision and empowerment
- Customer orientation
- English language skills: ability to read, understand, write and speak (medium)
- Proactive and structured approach and delivering quality results on time
- High service level
