The Vessel Accounting Manager provides day to day management and delivery of Vessel Accounting processes and work groups to include Disbursement Accounting (DA), Cash and Accounts Payables. Provides oversight and drives delivery of key transactional processes related to cash management, AP and DA rendering in accordance with ISS processes/procedures and acceptable accounting practices. Ensures processes meet ISS targets and delivers timely reporting data as required by corporate standards. Provides leadership and development of functional teams with the goal of fostering teamwork, open communication, performance management and training all within the ISS HR framework.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance.
- Minimum of 5-7 years in accounting or finance management role.
- Prior experience in shipping, transportation and/or logistics preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in leading a department, managing personnel and accounting management
- Advise or counsel others.
- Coordinate, negotiate, monitor and organize activities of others to achieve objectives.
- Instruct and teach others.
- Participate in group activities which require interpersonal skills and cooperation with others.
- Work under time pressure.
