Job Description
Recognized as fully competent to perform any design documentation task required. Work involves complex designs with associated problems for which no specific precedents may exist. Normally the documentation leader in a project and plans and controls the formal design and directs the work of other designers.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepares, checks and releases design documentation that will satisfy requirements for completion date, cost, performance and reliability.
- Responsible for design details and documentation methods that ensures high levels of productivity.
- Modifies practices and adjusts systems to use existing and new drawing records in a sustainable documentation program.
- Provide direction / help to Designers and Jr. Designers.
- Two year Associate degree + 3 year experience
- Minimum equivalent 6 years experience
- Broad knowledge of techniques and be proficient in all design skills.
- Must have good planning, organization, documentation and communication skills and be team oriented.
- Proficient use of SolidEdge and /or other 3D CAD package and Teamcenter.
- Strong experience with sheet metal design.
- Experience and understanding of heat exchanger/coils, compressors, fans, blowers, and motors.
- HVAC manufacturing experience preferred.
- Limited, mostly local travel.
