Leadership Responsibilities
• Attend and/or host tastings and trainings, take notes, and ask questions to remain up-to-date on products and offerings.
• Drives the implementation of company programs by developing action plans and directly motivating and developing the store team to implement them to meet operational and organizational objectives with enthusiasm, passion and drive.
• Plans, identifies, communicates, and delegates appropriate responsibilities and practices to store team to ensure smooth flow of operations every day, even in your absence.
• Provides coaching, direction, positive reinforcement, respectful & fearless feedback to the store team, takes action and achieve operational goals.
• Team development, succession planning & team building – Provide associates with coaching, feedback, and developmental opportunities.
• Encourage continued knowledge, learning, and career ambitions.
• Actively lead & manage store clerks by regularly conducting performance assessments, providing specific feedback, and setting challenging goals to improve associate performance.
Interpersonal Responsibilities
• Makes our guests feel welcome, recognized and happy. Inspires and motivates fellow staff to do the same.
•Regularly solicits customer feedback to understand customer needs and the needs of the local community.
• Listens and communicates well with staff, managers, and guests.
• Works well under pressure and maintains a positive and productive energy-level.
• Dealing with Ambiguity: ability to demonstrate a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events and manages smooth transitions to keep store operating to standard and to set a positive example for the store team regardless of circumstance.
• Uses discretion when filtering communications to the store team.
• Communicates clearly, concisely and accurately in order to ensure effective store operations.
Desirable Qualifications (not Required)
• Working toward sommelier certification
• Culinary student/graduate
• Extensive cheese knowledge, experience as a cheese monger
• Experience merchandising fresh and packaged food
• Italian dishes experiences

- Organizational Savvy: fosters relationships & utilizes your internal company resources. (Including: District Manager, Human Resources, Marketing, A/P, Food & Beverage, Coffee, and Retail Supply departments)
- Uses discretion in accessing external resources to support store operations and to execute store and brand initiatives
- Serve guests, provide recommendations, product knowledge, and salesmanship.
- Ensures a spotless, squeaky-clean environment for preparing food and for customers to dine.
- Adheres to state and local health and safety regulations.
- Ensures adherence to applicable wage and hour laws for nonexempt associates and minors.
