Business Development Lead The AIM GROUP - London, Canada Area

This position is the key senior level strategic Sales and Business Development Leader within Engineered Products and Containment

  • Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to achieve profitable growth targets and attract future business
  • Participate in building sales support systems/processes to ensure optimum customer service, efficient and effective sales process
  • Ensure through interactions the ongoing integrity and positive development of the overall business relationship with key customer accounts
  • Within the organizations, this position functions as the strategic leader for sustainable year over year sales growth. 
  • The clear mandate is to provide insight, direction and execution toward the short and long term sales pipeline at the sites. 
  • Analyze  the market and recommend sales strategy to achieve growth targets and sustain future revenue.
  • Work closely with Divisional Sales and Operations people to ensure the sales and operations strategy is in sync., including capacity, structure, people and processes .
  • Measure the effectiveness of the plan in the form of reported measurable metrics on Sales Goals, Margins, Pipeline, Competitive Status, Market Segment Status, and Customer Satisfaction 
  • This will initially require an objective assessment of current customers, the market, in-house resources and work processes with a view to implementing improvements over the next 4-6 months.

  • The major challenge the incumbent faces is to provide a high strategic leadership and direction that builds off the current state of both facilities toward the overall fit, market evolution and growth goals.
  • The profitable and sustainable growth of the organization is a key measure of success.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or Business/Economics
  • Must have a minimum 10+ years of experience/ significant exposure to the Petro/Chemical and Storage Industry/Markets 
  • Must have leadership experience, with a track record of delivering positive results.
  • Ideally has exposure to metal fabrication design/manufacturing environment, with an understanding/experience in the Pressure Vessel, Heat Exchanger, Tank, Mixing and Autoclave markets.
  • Good understanding of contract manufacturing 
  • Project management tools
  • Excellent communication skills (listening, written / oral communication and presentation skills)
  • Generally, a high degree of ability in understanding of the marketplace, the players and the ability to transform that into meaningful and sustainable partnerships.
  • Exposure to CRM and Key Account management techniques
  • Communicates with a high degree of Professionalism and imparts Integrity.
