Kvichak Marine Industries Inc, is a designer and builder of a commercial aluminum craft up to 180 feet. Products include high-speed passenger vessels, oil pollution mitigation equipment, fast patrol craft, hovercraft, and utility boats for both military and commercial customers. Position Summary
Responsible for installation of mechanical systems on newly constructed aluminum commercial vessels while working independently and efficiently with inter-trade coordination.

Hydraulics Acoustical insulation Engine installs
Water jets Engine controls Wet exhaust
Steering (power/manual) Fire/bilge system Fire extinguisher system
Gen-set installation Wipers Fresh water generator system
Head and waste system HVAC Exterior and interior seating
Helm seats Windows and doors Paint (non-skid)
Mooring gear Labels and graphics Emergency equipment
Fendering Electronic equipment Shafts and propellers
Cooling Fuel systems Ventilation/air intakes
Essential Functions
Reviews and reads all required blueprints, drawings, manuals and work orders in order to install, troubleshoot and repair, if necessary, desired products, parts and systems.
Accurately collects, checks, and organizes all parts and tools prior to starting job or assigned task.
Communication with leads, supervisors and engineering staff via personal contact and written communications to review assigned vessel mechanical systems layout.
Installs, troubleshoots and repairs all required systems on and into vessels either in a shop floor environment or while vessel is in the water attached to the dock, or, while vessel is underway.
Assist with launch and/or sea trials and shipping of completed vessel.
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience
Minimum 2 years’ direct experience installing mechanical components, following mechanical processes, and constructing mechanical systems. Vessel construction is preferred and is a plus.
Physical Demands (typical)
Maneuvering in tight places, uneven floor areas
Climbing up and down ladders, ramps and stairs
Lifting and moving objects weighing up to 50 lbs.; lifting objects over 50 lbs. with assistance
Sitting and standing for long periods of time
Other
Mechanical outfitters must possess the ability to read and understand blue prints.
