The Line Cook is the principle restaurant and room service, breakfast, lunch, and dinner preparation, service cook. The Line Cook ensures that all food is consistently and properly prepared in a timely manner, and is of the finest quality. Special emphasis is placed on accommodating guest preferences, flexibility with work assignments, efficiency, quality, and social demean that contributes to a hospitable environment. This opportunity requires the flexibility to work weekends and both the first and second shifts. Primary Duties Include
Provide pleasant and professional services to all hotel guests.
Prepare all restaurant, market and room service fare per menu specifications utilizing skills including grill, sauté, fry, bake cold prep.
Prep and execute daily specials and dessert features.
Maintain high standards in food safety through adherence to all food safety and sanitation standards.
Daily check of expiration items, freshness quality, cooler temperatures, rotation, out-of-stock items and waste levels.
Maintain on-going communication and collaboration with staff with the aim of achieving high levels of cooperation and service excellence.
Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the line and kitchen.
Properly stock for meal period service and re-stock items for next shift.
Properly maintain all work equipment, tools, and supplies.
Adhering to fryer oil cooler schedule and guidelines.
Communicate any equipment needs or malfunctions immediately.
Respond to guest requests and inquiries with appropriate level of sensitivity and immediacy.
