Reseller Operations NPI Readiness Program Manager (APAC & Japan) Apple - Singapore -Singapore

This is an Operations program management leadership role, in which you will lead the Reseller Operations team to drive the highest level of program management quality for New Product Introduction (NPI). 

Key scope of work can be summarized as follows:
(a) Launch all new products across all Resellers and Telcos in Pacific
(b) Support Global and Regional projects as NPI business lead
(c) Integrate NPI Testing Methodology and Platforms into NPI Process
(d) Drive NPI Post Mortem, Process Re-engineering and Audit

The position is based in Singapore and reports into the Infrastructure Manager (Pacific).

Key Qualifications

  • Program / Project Management, Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, Sales Support, Business Process Mapping. Candidates with Resellers/Telco Service Provider, Supply/Demand Planning and Logistics experience will be well regarded
  • Accomplished global and regional leader and influencer with proven international experience (Pacific work experience coupled with Global experience in dealing with US and EMEiA) in establishing cross-cultural business relationships at working and management levels. Looking for proven leaders with broad business mindset to guide the team
  • Passion and Drive with Great Sense of Urgency. We are looking for someone with tremendous self-belief, motivation and drive to be successful as a leader in the shortest possible time. Excellence should be a habit for the successful candidate
  • Ability to make key decisions and deliver results under extremely tight and stressful timelines, deal with an immense degree of ambiguity, create in an unstructured environment, multi-tasking, drive end-to-end customer focus, think “outside the box” to solve problems
  • Time management skills. Must display great ability to prioritize deliverables to balance speed and accuracy in making the key decision to make or break an NPI launch. Ability to apply the powers of leveraging
  • Outstanding EQ and Political Navigational skills. This is important as the successful candidate will be required to deal with people of all levels and it is important to have good EQ to influence effectively without authority
  • Strong analytical and financial capabilities with experience in developing suites of reporting
  • Good eye for details with a “hands-on” and “can do” attitude. The learning curve is extremely steep and while training will be provided, a self-starter will greatly enhance the chance of success in this role
  • Assertive in the right sense with ability to follow through things seamlessly from end-to-end. Strong stamina to get to the finish line with very low tolerance for errors. Display strong troubleshooting skill set
  • Independent and not afraid of owning and making decisions. A lot of delegation and empowerment is envisaged
  • Excellent Communications skills (written and spoken). Proven ability to effectively represent Region in Global forums to ensure relevance and visibility
  • Experience in SAP ERP and CRM, Web platform and technologies preferred
  • Experience with LTL, FTL, Parcel, Air and Ocean modes of transportation and providers of same, as well as global shipping standards and freight forwarding would be a distinct advantage

Description

New Product Introduction (NPI)
Be the Voice of Reseller Operations for each NPI launch
Drive the overall NPI Launch Plan Of Record (POR) for Reseller Operations
Control the NPI Confidential Disclosure process for Reseller Operations across all product class with 100% expected accuracy
Provide world-class leadership to cross-functional and cross-channel Operations and External Business Teams in program / project management of highly complex launches to ensure Flawless End-to-End execution to NPI Launch POR
Channel, Telco key success factors: Meet all POS on-shelf targets, maximize Sell-In and Sell-Through for NPI launch quantity with zero confidential leakage and zero escape of NPI products
Subject Matter Expert and Key Escalation Point for region in all matters of Reseller Operations NPI Readiness. Act as key NPI interface with WWRO and Regional Senior Management
Manage NPI communication strategy, guidelines and templates for partners (resellers, telcos) 
Balance program risk management vs. benefits under tight timelines to make critical business decisions
Work with cross-functional teams to achieve Goals including Sales & Marketing, Communications, Finance, Pricing, Contract and numerous Operations teams (including Supply Planning, Logistics, Compliance) at Global, Regional and Country levels
Work very closely with Supply/Demand planning and Logistics to ensure that every key milestone is met and tracked from Handover from OEM to Uplift to Custom Clearance to Forward Deploy to DC to Customer DC/POS Delivery to ensure NPI launch target quantity are met on-time and within confidential disclosure process
Subject matter expert for using Reseller Operations NPI systems, tools and processes to ensure no earlier shipment or escapes of NPI products before a product has been announced
Transform broad concepts and business strategies into structured projects, lead design and delivery of new programs and business processes and provide solutions to complex, high impact issues
Drive operational postmortem and post-launch Reporting to identify process improvements
Interface with Global / Regional Business Process Re-engineering and Business Intelligence teams in support of Projects affecting NPI. Participates in UAT testing support for project go-live and drive internal change management to the team
Lead NPI Process Re-engineering efforts with NPI Program Managers and Cross Functional teams to setup Reseller Operations NPI Playbook, map and streamline existing process, design new process, document process and conduct change management
Conduct NPI RO training for new-comers and refreshers and share best practices within the Reseller Operations (within and across the regions)
Establish single and consistent communications platform to share and maintain business information with internal and external teams

Education

Degree or MBA with minimum 6-8 years relevant Operations experience in MNC, or equivalenf
