The Opportunity | Assembler, Staff
Location: Hatfield, PA
Position Summary
- Assemble components to a final configured product utilizing process and drawing instructions and blueprints and specialized tooling and fixtures, measuring equipment and hand tools.
- Reads and interprets assembly drawings, parts lists, operation sheets and visual aids.
- May set up and operate automatic prepping, loading and insertion equipment and perform any rework from test failures in accordance with standard repair procedures.
- May verify quality of product at the required intervals and verify accuracy of all work.
- Positions parts according to knowledge of unit being assembled or following blueprints.
- Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, speed slips, rivets, or other fasteners.
- Maintain acceptable quality and efficiency levels.
- Ability to train team members
- Ability to generate standard work document
- Cross train on entering testing data into QA program as backup tester
- Selects products for tests at specified stages in production process and tests products
- Recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards after completing of training
- Overtime may be required to fulfill job responsibilities
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned by management
- Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education and Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 2-3 years related work experience
- Prior assembly experience
- Computer literate; MS office
- Any Quality software experience a plus
- Ability to operate material handling equipment, read and interprets blueprints, layout and process worksheets, and set up and operates assigned machines and equipment, and effectively communicates with others. Understands the importance of product quality and control.
- Ability to lift 50lbs.
