Accounts Payable Accountant SOL REPUBLIC - San Francisco Bay Area

Job Summary:

The Accounts Payable Accountant will be an integral part of the Finance team at SOL REPUBLIC. This role is responsible for entering data into the accounts payable system, paying vendor and supplier invoices in a timely manner, auditing expense reports and processing purchase orders. Additional responsibilities include answering inquiries and balancing daily and month end accounts payable to general ledger balances.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze, prioritize, code, and enter invoices into accounting system accurately and timely
• Perform weekly payment cycles, including matching payments to supporting documentation
• Process employee expense reimbursement reports, including auditing for adherence to Company policy
• Maintain vendor data files, handle vendor calls, research/resolve non-routine invoices, reconcile vendor statements
• Perform month end accruals
• Research discrepancies
• Perform audit and tax support
• Manage new vendor set-up including W-9 forms from vendors
• Prepare and file of 1099 annually

• Assist accounting team with monthly close
• Seek out and implement process improvements

Qualifications:

• 2+ years Accounts Payable experience required
• Experience running the accounts payable month-end and general ledger functions
• Understanding of accrual accounting
• Motivated, team player attitude with positive demeanor
• MS Office, Excel, and internet skills to intermediate level
• Must have solid written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent math skills, strong analytical and problem solving skills

• Working knowledge of ERP systems; experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV is a plus
