This project continues to meet NY State’s objective in delivering a Health Exchange per Federal and state compliance and regulation.  The solution will determine benefit eligibility, compare and choose qualified health plans, apply for federal and state benefits, provide account management, and facilitate communication between members, providers, and agencies.

PMO Change and Risk Lead: Provides and manages the NYSOH change and risk management.  Provides assistance to the NYSOH Change and Risk Manager and project managers.  Also supports the change management and invoice process.

Work Location: Rensselaer, NY. Must submit to CSC standard background investigation.

Essential Job Functions
  • Provides and manages the NYSOH change and risk management.
  • Provides assistance to the NYSOH Change and Risk Manager and project managers.
  • Supports the change management and invoice process.
  • Creates and implements project definitions, schedules, budgets, and objectives for medium to large sized projects of moderate complexity. Prepares statements of work for project engagements and monitors performance to ensure that project commitments meet contractual specifications. Determines need for and impact of changes in scope of project and makes recommendation based on determinations. Gains concurrence, approval, and consensus from stakeholders regarding the various project aspects, adjusts accordingly.
  • Identifies appropriate resources and staffs projects. Organizes project team members to ensure communication and understanding of deadlines, assignments and objectives. Acts as the point of contact with client project management.
  • Manages costs, schedules and quality by overseeing project deliverables. Ensures schedule and budget are met. Identifies need for changes and revises within established guidelines/policies as appropriate.
  • Performs ongoing review of project status; identifies project risks. Develops, recommends and implements risk mitigation solutions as approved and as appropriate.
  • Interfaces with team members and stakeholders to anticipate and manage changes to projects such as but not limited to, technical requirements, business requirements and schedule. Determines when additional resources are needed and implements same.
  • Manages mid-level management clients, company management and project team expectations for agreed upon project performance by obtaining and providing project metrics. Recommends and implements changes or alternate paths based upon performance and metrics.
  • Develops and makes presentations that could lead to expanded business opportunities. Participates in proposal efforts and sales calls to enhance opportunities for future business deals with client.
  • Oversees assigned personnel for projects. Assigns work and provides direction with regard to timeliness and completion of project objectives. Addresses performance issues within prescribed guidelines. Provides performance input upon completion of project.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, information technology, engineering or related field preferred
  • Six or more years of project management experience
  • Experience working with project management methodology such as Catalyst including budget development, project planning, control and assurance methodologies, project management tool software and finance and accounting concepts and practices
  • Experience working with productivity and methodology tools that increase project efficiency and effectiveness
  • Experience working with administrative processes
  • Experience working with client vision, business objectives, and critical success factors
  • Experience working with delivery assurance principles and appropriate procedures relevant to area
  • Experience working with techniques and approaches related to the architecture, development, integration, and deployment of project phases
Other Qualifications
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Experience managing projects for a State agency; NY Department of Health experience is a plus
  • Experience managing projects with leveraged resources model
  • Experience managing releases that contain a collection of changes that may or may not be related

The SSEM works closely with the License organization, Delivery organization, customers and

space; expected to manage 1-20 accounts with a quota of $8M - $15M. This role will report
directly to the NA Innovation Solutions Services Lead with a dotted line into the regions.


EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
• Evaluate customers and territory for revenue opportunities. Forecast 4X pipeline for
future accounts; change forecasts for bookings in current accounts in CRM & other appropriate
systems. Identify whitespace/gaps in services and solutions at customers through an account
planning process
• Meet annual services booking, quota by identifying and managing service opportunities
through the business development lifecycle to sales orders.
• Develop an account strategy in a sophisticated and complex business environment,
negotiate services contracts and effectively close business.
• Position/present SAP HANA, Big Data and Analytics Services products/solutions,
implementation framework and methodologies to prospective customers and organize/lead
appropriate resources to the account to achieve services sale/upgrade/additional revenue.
• Manage key Services issues on key accounts --- escalation strategy, upgrade strategy,
resource strategy, Partner management and general information. Coordinates with internal
resources to manage each to resolution.
• Develop Market Unit specific demand generation and enablement programs for internal
and external customers to drive pipeline, increase awareness of our services and solutions and
drive bookings. This would include our customers, license, core services, service portfolio, and
COE teams
• Work closely with other SAP stake holders; License, One Service teams, SAMs, COEs,
etc. to drive HANA and Analytics adoption; license and services bookings and revenue

Desired Skills and Experience

High degree of knowledge and understanding of our services and solutions. SAP
HANA, HANA as a Platform, Analytics and Big Data.

Knowledge and understanding of implementation methodologies, such as Agile or
