SAP Business Intelligence Manager

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Strong ability to lead discussions with the business to analyze reporting needs, configure and model data into SAP BW and SAP BOBJ and develop reports in BI.
  • Develop, implement and manage the ETL process to bring data from SAP ECC into BW.
  • Develop and maintain processes to load data from non-SAP source systems.
  • Develop options for data access (e.g. Web Solution, ECC drill-through, DSO reporting, master data reporting, etc.)
  • Create and maintain data structures (DSOs, Infocubes & Multi-providers, etc.)
  • Create and maintain process chain load schedules.
  • Work with the Basis and Network teams to analyze and tune the BI environment.
  • Build and enhance BI reports and dashboards.
  • Conduct user requirements gathering and documentation designs.
  • Develop functional and technical specifications, and complete object development and testing.
  • Design and execute testing plans to validate the data loading process, data integrity and that report data elements are meeting business requirements.
  • Work closely with end users to prioritize and manage completion of support tickets. Track and report BI support metrics.
  • Manage projects assigned through the full project lifecycle including managing and coordinating the work of consultants when necessary.
  • Document and control all changes made to productions systems via change control process.
  • Stay current with SAP’s BI technology, business and industry issues and drivers.
Requirements
  • Some off shift work will be necessary to support project implementation, application changes and/or conversions that are required to be done during hours that do impact normal business operation. Typically these are scheduled at night and/or weekends.
  • Travel: 10% - varies based on project requirements
  • Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree
  • 7+ years of experience data processing and modeling and report development in SAP BW/BI version 3.5 or higher.
  • 1 year of experience on SAP BI 7.0 is desired.
  • Knowledge and experience with Business Objects is a plus.
  • Knowledge and experience with BPC v10 integration with BW is a plus.
  • Knowledge of core SAP Modules (SD, MM, FICO, PP, and QM)
  • ABAP Programming experience is a plus.
  • In-depth knowledge of SAP BW Data Architecture.
  • Strong systems architecture and design skills.
  • Knowledge and experience with data warehouse logical modeling Star Schema, Fact, Dimension, Snow-flake, Lookup, Staging, cube
  • Experience with BI Administrator Workbench
  • Two or more full project life cycle SAP implementations including blueprinting, design of the data warehouse architecture, data structure and report development, testing, end user training and post implementation support.
  • Understanding and use of SDLC methodology good practice.
  • Experience with business case development, project planning and estimation is a must.
  • Strong Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills are required.
  • Experience working for a Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) company.

  • Strong presentation skills with experience conducting workshops to facilitate continuous improvement in the implemented design and training.
