We are working on an exclusive basis to identify exceptional Lead Support Specialists to form a new team within a high profile IoT / Connected Home / Connected start-up. The home connectivity portfolio is set for launch in demanding timeframes and we need to recruit a new breed of Customer Support expert, a specialist who is passionate about delivering a continuous service experience of a full connected environment, while adding customer value to drive loyalty.

As the first Support Manager on the ground, you will increasingly offer leadership and support to develop a new team and function, while being an essential point of customer contact and source of technical assistance - through a ticketing and issue tracking platform aswell as real time messaging and telephone support. Customer requests will certainly vary in complexity, relating to hardware or software or a combination of both and you will be expected to deliver an exceptional level of feedback, instruction and suggestions across all issues customers may run into.

You will be a key bridge between the international support and product teams and play a key role in recruiting and mentoring new technicians, very often taking on the more difficult technical questions and troubleshooting from customers. On an ongoing basis you will be expected to document, track and report trending issues and contribute to an evolving best in class global operation.

Desired Skills and Experience

BSc / MEng degree

5 years plus in a Technical Support role ( IoT / Connected Space)

IoT ecosystem or platform related work, ideally within an integrated hardware / software envionment

Start-up experience would be attractive

Knowledge of ZigBee or Z-Wave protocols. Familiarity with Salesforce, JIRA and/or Zendesk would a bonus

Passionate about the connected envionment and highly customer focused
