DSD System Specialist, - Warehouse Systems

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?
In your role as a DSD System Specialist, - Warehouse Systems at Kellogg, you will be part of our success by:
  • Providing training assistance to the DSD facilities as needed on usage of the current Warehouse systems as well as communicating any system changes or adjustments to the end users
  • Documenting, implementing and reinforcing processes and best practices guidelines
  • Reviewing DSD Warehousing practices from end to end to identify gaps & providing recommendations for process improvements
  • Developing, evaluating and approving business design specifications
  • Developing and implementing test plans
  • Serving as a primary support contact for Warehouse System issues
  • Partnering with cross channel teams to identify opportunities
  • Supporting the development of new sustainable best practice approaches
  • Providing subject matter expertise in the development of next generation processes and selection and usage of tools
  • Participating in network productivity/process initiatives to increase unit/cases per hour, reduce inventory variance and non-sellable products
Qualifications
WHAT DO I NEED TO DEMONSTRATE?
As well as a hunger to learn and succeed in Transportation, to be considered for this position you must be able to meet the following requirements:

Required:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, supply chain OR High School Diploma and frequently demonstrated related experience.
  • Knowledge of one or more of the following: SAP, Vocollect, Direct Route Software, Business Warehouse/Analytics, Warehouse Management Systems, Warehouse slotting software, Warehouse design software, AutoCad and other logistics software.
  • Analytical and detail oriented
  • Ability to work in conditions, which include multiple and sometime conflicting priorities
Preferred:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or supply chain
  • DSD (Direct Store Delivery) experience
  • Project Management experience
  • Experience in warehousing, process documentation, and working with interrelated business functions
WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO KNOW?
Travel for this role may exceed 50%.

Willing to travel as needed, support after hours as needed and manage a flexible schedule.

The ability to work a full shift, come to work on time, work overtime as needed and the ability to work according to the necessary schedule to meet job requirements with or without reasonable accommodation is an essential function of this position.
