Responsible for the CAD (Computer Aided Drafting) programs producing and revising fabrication drawings for Shell and Tube Heat Exchangers.
Requirements

- Handles the drafting assignments with the Engineers and references documents including Quote documents, purchase orders, customer drawings, and sales orders.
- Generates final drawings using models & drawing templates.
- Checks generated drawings against engineer notes, design calculations/sketches, customer drawings and applicable codes, standards, and customer specifications.
- Makes additions to models, drawings, and sketches as needed to complete detail drawings and Bill of Materials.
- Calculates dimensions of parts and materials as needed to complete detail drawings & Bill of Materials.
- Creates / completes Bill of Materials incorporating engineering notes.
- Verifies design package has current revisions as listed on the Document Transmittal and Shop Distribution forms and releases design package to production for procurement and fabrication as directed by the Mechanical Engineer.
Requirements
- 3+ years of CAD Design experience in a manufacturing/fabrication environment.
- Heat Exchangers, Pressure Vessels, Tanks or similar exis preferred.
- Able to read manufacturing blueprints.
- CAD software experience with SolidWorks (Preferred), AutoCAD or Pro/E
- 3D Solid Modeling experience is a plus
- Formal drafting training from an accredited institution or comparable experience.
- Strong math skills.
- Familiarity with ASME Section VIII and IX is a strong plus.
- Must be able to use drafting hardware and software proficiently.
