Regional Head of Business Development & Partnerships - Lazada Express Lazada Group - Singapore

LAZADA EXPRESS is Lazada’s in house logistics business, one of the strategic pillars of Lazada Group, with over 1,400 staff members. We provide end-to-end delivery services, covering the first through last mile. We build the infrastructure to enable e-commerce growth and work with external logistics partners to revolutionize the B2C logistics industry across our six countries.

Responsibilities

The Regional Head of Business Development is responsible for developing the business strategy for Lazada Express (LEX) and identifying, initiating and managing external relationships and partnerships across the region. The position is based in Singapore, reporting directly to CEO Lazada Express.

Responsibilities will include:

• Identify and size commercial opportunities for LEX services across Southeast Asia
• Define and develop target product offering and capabilities, in close collaboration with regional Operations and Technology teams
• Develop go-to-market approach and organizational implications
• Develop LEX long term business plan
• Support Lazada Group in managing relations with existing and potential investors, preparing presentations and addressing investor queries
• Identify potential external partners that will enhance or expand LEX offering or capabilities
• Initiate and manage partnership relations (leveraging existing relationships at regional and local levels)
• Identify potential targets for selective M&A

Desired Skills and Experience

Ideal profile

In order to succeed in the role, you should ideally have:

• Between 2 and 5 years of experience with a top tier consulting firm or investment bank
• SAP Business one industry experience
• Work experience in Southeast Asia or other emerging markets preferred, but not required
• Prior exposure to e-commerce or (small parcel) logistics industry preferred, but not required
• Energetic, entrepreneurial, execution driven and hands-on attitude
• Excellent analytical skills, strategic mindset and superior business judgement
• Practical ability to translate strategies in concrete action plans and execute against plan
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
• Able travel in Southeast Asia (up to 30%) and work variable hours as required
