The Opportunity | Inside Sales Representative, Staff
Location: Hatfield, PA
Essential Job Function
  • Primary sales focus is with international sales.
  • Responsibilities include receiving, processing, coordinating, tracking, shipping documentation for product submitted under established business arrangements.
  • Makes outbound lead follow-up calls to potential and existing customers by telephone and e-mail to qualify leads and sell products and services.
  • Handles inbound sales lead calls to convert calls into sales.
  • Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from ad inquiries, trade shows, direct mail responses, card desk leads, aged leads, bingos, deals resellers, business directories, Internet Web sites, and other sources.
  • Overcomes technical and business objections of prospective customers.
  • Emphasizes salable features, quotes prices and credit terms.
  • Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of own firm’s production and delivery schedules. Estimates freight weights and crate dimensions.
  • Builds and maintains customer relationships.
  • Prepares reports of business transactions.
  • Enters new customer data and other sales data for current customers into computer database.
  • Investigates and resolves customer problems with deliveries.
  • Works with outside sales representatives to keep account activities and literature up to date.
  • IIR database research and usage.
  • Investigates and resolves customer problems with deliveries.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned by management.

Knowledge Skills And Abilities, Education And Experience
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Excellent written, verbal and communication skills.
  • Minimum of 3 years related sales experience, manufacturing preferred
  • Understands the needs and expectations of the customer and provides relevant solutions.
  • Possess a good understanding of business and products.
  • Foreign languages skills a plus (Spanish, Mandarin and/or French)
