Legal Counsel, iPhone and iPad

Apple is seeking a qualified lawyer with 5 to 10 years of relevant experience to support Apple’s iPhone and iPad sales, marketing, and after-sales teams and their relationships with mobile network operators within the Asia Pacific region.

Key Qualifications

  • Candidates should have the following skills and experience:
  • Significant law firm and in-house experience, ideally with a cellular handset manufacturer or mobile network operator
  • Significant experience working with clients and partners located internationally
  • Demonstrated ability to draft complex commercial agreements, including device sales, marketing, multi-channel distribution, service, and license agreements
  • Strong case management and organization skills, and demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision as the role will be managed from the United States
  • Excellent presentation, analytical, communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
  • Detail-oriented, pro-active, persistent, and assertive self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced and goal/deadline driven environment
  • Sound judgment and problem solving skills and comfortable advising and working with senior and executive management
  • Strong familiarity with competition law matters related to multi-channel sales, distribution, and marketing
  • Significant experience with mobile wireless technologies and mobile network operators is strongly preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills, and the highest level of integrity and professionalism
  • Fluency in English and ideally a relevant South-East Asian language would be an asset to support the respective countries

Description

The successful candidate will based in Singapore and will be responsible for:

Providing legal review and solutions-based counseling to all levels of management on a wide variety of complex legal and business issues 
Negotiating and drafting strategic agreements, including sales, distribution, marketing, and service agreements
Identifying and mitigating legal risk by implementing appropriate legal controls and compliance policies as needed
Building relationships and collaborating with multiple teams across Apple’s organization to close deals and resolve issues
