Business Development Manager, Google Play Apps and Games

Google's line of products and services to our clients never stops growing. The Partnerships Development team is responsible for seeking and exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Armed with your business acumen and extensive product knowledge, you are right on the front line of interacting with our partners, and helping them find ways to grow using Google's newest product offerings. Your knowledge of relevant verticals and relationships with key industry players will help shape our great applications and content for products such as YouTube, Google TV and Commerce.

Google Play is growing at a rapid pace, serving millions of Android users, both new and existing, with apps and games that are innovative, useful and entertaining. You will be part of the Google Play Partnership Development team, focused on helping developers build successful businesses using the Android platform and Google Play. 

As a Business Development Manager for Google Play Apps and Games in Singapore, you will use your strong business acumen and extensive industry knowledge to acquire, drive and build a pipeline of amazing Android apps and games. You will also help partners manage business growth creation on Google Play.

Responsibilities
  • Become the primary point of contact for key Apps and Games partners in Southeast Asia.
  • Work with the cross-functional team (Product, Engineering, Marketing) to grow the ecosystem of Google Play in Southeast Asia.
  • Track and understand key partner metrics to understand the health of developer businesses.
  • Communicate best practices to partners to support the strategic priorities of Google Play.
  • Define partnership strategies and execute Go-to-Market plans. Communicate effectively with Bahasa (Indonesian) or Thai speaking clients.

Minimum qualifications
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of relevant work experience in the areas of mobile apps and games, mobile business, distribution channels, and competitive landscape.
  • Experience sourcing, managing and negotiating with partners.
  • Southeast Asia market experience.

Preferred qualifications
  • Proven experience working with partners, e.g. in the gaming and/ or mobile industries.
  • In-depth experience operating within and leading cross-functional teams (product management, implementation, legal, finance, marketing, etc.).
  • Proven track record in creating and executing against a pipeline.
  • Passion for mobile apps and games, mobile business, mobile technology.
  • Ability to speak and write Bahasa (Indonesian) or Thai fluently and idiomatically.
