Group HSEQ Manager Ferguson Group Ltd - Kintore, Aberdeenshire

To continually improve the HSEQ performance of the Group.  Facilitate and support the transition from HSEQ accountability to Operational accountability for HSEQ performance throughout the business.
Responsible for HSEQ performance throughout the FGL Group comprising of 15 locations throughout the world.
Accountabilities:
  • Manage team of HSEQ Advisors/Co-ordinators and set company HSEQ strategy to deliver continued improvements across the business.
  • Deliver HSEQ performance Objectives for the Group & Locally within business units
  • Implement & maintain ISO 9000/14000/OHSAS 18000 management systems, policies and procedures for the prevention of injury damage or loss across all divisions.
  • Conduct appropriate investigations into accidents, ill health, dangerous occurrences and near misses and ensure appropriate corrective / preventative actions are taken and communicated throughout the Group.
  • Manage departmental budget in line with Group business plan
  • Report to Board of Directors & Senior Management on performance results on a monthly basis.
  • Deliver compliance with all Group & Regulator requirements.
  • Support HSEQ policy to help deliver cultural development and sustained continual improvement in HSEQ performance.

  • At least 8-10 years HSEQ management experience
  • 5 years managing departmental budgets
  • Experience in maintaining management systems i.e. ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004, OHSAS 18001: 2008 throughout multisite organisations
  • Significant experience in offshore asset HSEQ management
  • Experience in managing a wide breadth of technical and organisational issues
  • 3-5 years’ experience working within a multisite, multinational organisation
  • Experience coaching & mentoring direct reports
  • A strategic thinker
  • A effective leader, with an ability to manage a wide range of activities
  • Effective interpersonal skills, person must be able to interface across all areas of the company
  • Excellent typing and word processing skills
  • Good level of computer literacy and a willingness to undergo further IT training as required
  • Good at analysing situations and informing decision-makers of any potential blocks to effective project execution
