Global Enterprise Solution Sales Strategist – Big Data Dell - Singapore, SG

It’s an opportunity to evangelize and to help drive sales from our key products, services and solutions in a global marketplace. We are currently looking for Global Enterprise Solution Sales Strategists to join our Global Domain Strategist Organization who will be focused on delivering Enterprise application workloads, Converged/SDx, BigData Analytics and Private Cloud solutions.  These positions work remote and can be based anywhere in the APJ, EMEA and LATAM regions.

This position will be part of the Global Domain Strategist organization which is staffed dynamically & will adapt to resource constraints, shifting customer needs & break-out industry innovation on demand.  We have specialists in all major lines of business within the enterprise, each with a primary & complementary secondary area of specialty.  This position holds an elite level of competence within the Enterprise discipline with a strong bent towards practical industry vertical sales enablement.

You will utilize your expertise to assist in deploying customer solutions focused on Business Intelligence & Big Data. The Global Solution Strategist Organization focuses on cultivating strategic positioning by working with Dell product groups. To deliver consistent messaging, training and support for sales globally, sharing best practices and enhancing knowledge cross-pollination globally & with key alliance partners.

Role Responsibilities

  • Cultivate global enterprise positioning and strategy for their selected solution discipline
  • Interconnect with global business units, marketing, training and services groups at Dell to establish comprehensive solution set with a focus on market differentiation
  • Expected to stay current on technology, competitive marketplace & provide constant feedback to global product groups and regional sales team on emerging trends, risks and provide recommendations
  • Will be a solutions evangelist which will include presales training, creation of mixed customer communications via Account Executives/Internal Sales Reps, System Consultants or Domain Sales Specialists/Engineers or Channel sales, ensure consistency in messaging and positioning
  • Will be engaged on large sales opportunities to provide their area of expertise knowledge
  • Advance Dell ESG solution and business value industry exposure / presentation and speaking engagements across key industry events, establish & foster relationship with global industry
  • Gain feedback from global business units to identify, resolve and share challenges and best practices across geographies to accelerate their respective solutions domain revenue
  • Foster and persuade collaborative presentation opportunities with key alliance partners
  • Work in partnership with 3rd party alliances to improve joint solutions and better optimize product sales

  •         10+ years of experience IT experience in a business development and/or pre-sales engineering capacity in the information management space, such as data warehousing, data modeling, data governance, etc.
  •         5+ years with architectural and in-depth technical experience in atleast 1 of the following areas: big data technologies such as Hadoop /HDFS/Hive/Pig/Spark, Cassandra/HBase/MongoDb non-relational databases, OLAP using SQL/Oracle, SAP HANA, Statistica/Other data modeling tools
  •         Experience working as a part of a global team and owning/driving a global business development/sales or marketing plan is a must
  •         Experience with enterprise customers and experience working with CIO/CTO level is a must
  •         Excellent presentation and communication skills
  •         Strong team player with the ability to collaborate and communicate with complex matrixed teams across the globe
  •         Must be able to travel up to 50%
  •  Preferences

            Previous customer focused technical training experience related to workloads, applications and deep understanding of CIO OPEX and CAPEX sizing and operational models

  •         Bachelors in Engineering, CS/CIS/MIS/Business or related field equivalent
  •         MBA preferred
