Pressure Vessel (AICIP) Inspector Present Group - Brisbane Area, Australia

Powertech is currently looking for a qualified Pressure Vessel Inspector.
Ideally the successful candidate will have had exposure to the energy, oil and gas or resources sectors and specialist skills in inspection of licensed classified plant, tanks and/or piping systems.
The requirements of the role will include but are not limited to:
  • Perform in service inspection of pressure equipment including boilers, pressure vessels, pressure piping, storage of tanks and associated equipment;
  • Perform in-service inspection of classified plant lifting equipment including cranes, elevated working platforms, scissor lifts, and hoists;
  • Prepare reports for the inspections performed on such equipment;
  • Undertake preparation of repair work scopes to the applicable code and client requirements on the above equipment and supply recommendations to the owner;
  • Perform inspections and quality reviews as required by the applicable codes and client requirements for the construction of new pressure equipment including boilers, pressure vessels, pressure piping, storage tanks and associated equipment.
As this is Ad hoc work, ideally it would suit a Brisbane or East Coast based person

Desired Skills and Experience

Suitable candidates must hold the following:
  • Certification in AICIP;
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge of relevant legislation, codes and standards associated with the in-service inspection of pressure systems, plant and equipment, and/or classified plant lifting equipment;
  • Working knowledge and experience of NDT and specialist inspection techniques;
  • At least 3 years relevant industry experience with exposure to heavy industrial plant.
  • Demonstrated commitment to flexible work practices;
  • The ability to work as part of a team
  • Well-developed organisational, communication and report writing skills;
  • A commitment to safety, customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.
