Business Intelligence/Data Analytics Architect National University of Singapore - Singapore

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist in developing BI business and technical roadmap and strategies to meet business analytical needs for all business groups within the organization
• Provide project and vendor management for development of proposed BI/BW application systems and maintenance of existing BI/BW reports
• Provide leadership in design solutions that address policy and business needs and demonstrate how data analytics can optimize operations or assist in stakeholders’ decision making
• Manage and optimize the usage of BI/BW tools, data analytics application systems and exploring the possibility of Big Data development
• Work with stakeholders to identify relevant data source, explore technologies and advanced data analytic tool and modeling systems
• Conduct feasibility study, project manage BI/BW related projects and ensure successful delivery
• Provide training for team members and end users
• Ensure project deliveries are within cost and quality guidelines
• Assist in managing BI/BW related procurement process (ITT/RFP/RFI)
• Facilitate business users in annual IT project planning and enhancement prioritization
• Ensure IT compliance with corporate governance, best practices and adherence to University's policies and quality documentations

Desired Skills and Experience

Requirements:

• A university degree in Computer Science, Business Intelligence, Data Analytics or related fields
• At least 10 years of working experience in BI/BW full cycle implementation with the ability to translate business requirements to IT solutions
• At least 8 years in project management and technical lead role
• Good experience in working with SAP BW (BEx designer and queries), BI dashboard, Central Management Console (CMC), BO tools such as WebI, Xcelsius dashboard and crystal reports
• Experience working with data modeling and database techniques
• Broad knowledge of various aspects of Big Data with good understanding data warehousing solutions and latest database technologies
• Experience working with common end-user centric analytic tools such as Tableau, Qlikview and Microsoft BI will be an added advantage
• Must be proactive, resourceful and self-motivated with strong analytical skills
• Good interpersonal, written, presentation and communication skills
• Demonstrates strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to interact and communicate effectively with all levels of management, users and vendors
• Motivated, self-driven, methodical and organized with a ‘hands-on’ altitude/approach
• Must be a self-starter, able to work independently with minimum supervision
• Must possess strong ‘team spirit’ with good interpersonal skills and able to overcome challenges
• Strong at documentation and leading requirement sessions/discussions
