Event Management - Corporate Sales Manager | Singapore

To ensure that events are:
  • Successfully negotiated and confirmed
  • Revenue yield is maximized and budgets achieved through savvy management of price and space control
  • Ensuring thorough and detailed communication with the various Operations Departments.
  • To assist the Director of Event Management – Corporate Sales in developing and mentoring the Event Management - Coordinator by imparting the appropriate skills & guidance.

Duties and Supporting Responsibilities
  • Conducts site inspections (if necessary) for confirmed events
  • Handles and executes the dry events confirmed at MOSIN
  • Ensures receipt of all signed documents from customer
  • Manages all details of the event including food and beverage, meeting specifications, audio-visual equipment, guestroom block, deposit follow up and VIP requests.
  • Upsells during event planning to increase in revenue
  • Communicates effectively with supporting Banquet Operations Department, Housekeeping etc via Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), Group Resumes and Pre-Convention Meetings (Pre-Cons) when necessary.
  • Assist Assistant Director of Event Management and Director of Event Management on all aspects to ensure that the department functions are flawlessly executed
  • Greets event planner and guests at the start of an event and remains available to the event planner throughout the course of the event. Coordinates with operational departments to solve any challenges and suggests alternative arrangements and solutions
  • Strives to meet measurable targets and goals as assigned for individual and for the team.
  • Abide by the hotel’s grooming standards to project the luxury image of the hotel and food brand
  • Be accountable for the quality of services for the department / hotel.


Requirements:
  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Hospitality/Tourism/Hotel Management, Business Studies/Administration/Management, Marketing or equivalent.
  • At least 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Preferably Managers specializing in Marketing/Business Development, Sales - Corporate or equivalent.
