About Us
We are a privately owned retailer selling entertainment media such as Books, CDs, DVDs, Console Games and tech products to customers around the world. These products are sourced in large quantities and in a variety of re-sale conditions, ranging from brand new overstock goods to used refurbished/reconditioned items. We trade on some of the world's biggest online marketplaces where third party suppliers are encouraged to advertise their products and make them available to customers of those marketplaces. In addition to third party marketplaces, we operate a number of our own brands/websites where we have full control over product offering, pricing and the customer journey. The company has grown since its inception in 2006 and now employs over 180 staff in three separate countries, shipping 10,000+ items each day to customers across the globe.
To continue our growth story, we are looking for highly driven, ambitious Commercial/Marketing Manager who shares our passion to succeed. They will enjoy a start-up culture which is embedded within the business, devolved responsibility and being given the opportunity as well as the expectation to deliver to very high, exacting standards. This role will report in directly to the Managing Director of the business.
We Are Seeking An Intelligent, Highly Motivated Commercial/Marketing Manager. They Will Be Tasked With The Following Roles
> Taking the current marketing resources (spread through different teams) and turning them into a newly formed cogent team. Team will grow over time against a plan.
> To analyse our current digital marketing programmes and develop the existing marketing lifecycles to improve customer experience and marketing ROI’s. This includes further development of our personalisation programmes and liaising with our data insight team to extract the maximum value out of our “big data”, especially when that information is utilised in our digital marketing initiatives.
> Liaising with technical, creative and analytical teams to drive through digital marketing changes. Suitable candidate will be happy to get their hands dirty in the groundwork of preparing campaigns, conducting analysis, data mining etc.
> To analyse, critique and improve upon existing social media strategies so that our customer bases remain engaged with the business and its values.
> To create strategies for our nascent/new brands to allow them to deliver value to the business against a roadmap/development plan. Experience of launching previous brands from scratch or from a low base is a big advantage.
> To represent the company commercially (bidding for services or pitching for new partnerships) with clients/partners who are or may contribute to our growth strategy.
Digital Marketing Manager Skills And Experience
> Solid experience of setting up and monitoring digital marketing programmes in previous work experience, with involvement from setup right through to analysis/improvement of campaigns. Must have dealt with personalised customer journey’s, setting up framework of databases so that useful information is captured and utilised across marketing programmes.
> Will be experienced with use of Email Marketing CRM packages on a hands-on basis. Must have a “love to get hands dirty” approach and track record of having done this.
> Have good analytical skills with ability to extract, manipulate and present data related to active/ongoing marketing/commercial activities. Strong Excel skills essential.
> Understand SEO with previous track record of developing an SEO strategy and using tools such as Adwords, Google Analytics, SEOMoz etc.
> Projects to maintain and improve brand growth/awareness, especially in start-up context. Offline experience is of interest, as well as online.
> Will have been part of team negotiating commercial contracts or deals with prospective clients/partners/customers, online or offline.
> Strong team player with excellent communication skills – liaising across departments and building team values to produce results required.
