Responsibilities:
• Conceptualize process plant, model/simulate plant, and prepare Process Flow Diagram (PFD), mass and energy balance, PID, UFD, block flow diagram
• Design/sizing of process equipment (e.g. column, exchanger, vessel, pump, etc.) and preparation of equipment data sheet; line sizing; and any other process sizing
• Design relief systems, alarm/interlock matrix, and functional description
• Prepare control philosophy, preliminary operating instructions
• Prepare technical proposals and participate in technical meetings with customer and supplier
• Prepare process guarantee for the plant performance
• Participate in HAZOP analysis or other safety review
• Startup, commissioning and trouble-shooting of plants, data collection, validation; operator training
• Any other work as required by the Management
Requirements:
• Degree in Chemical Engineering as minimum, or equivalent with 5 years process design or plant experience
• Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g. Pro-II/Aspen plus/Hysis/Chemcad), heat exchanger design software (e.g. HTFS / HTRI) will be added advantage
• Good knowledge in process control and instrumentation
• Familiar with unit operations in process plants (e.g. Distillation, extraction, evaporators, reaction, membrane) and sound technical knowledge in heat and mass transfer
• Willing to travel in Asia Pacific region for sales support, project execution, plant startup
