- Responsible for developing material and labor cost estimates for shell and tube heat exchanger products.
- Submit written engineering proposals, based upon customers specifications, and provide technical support to the sales department.
- Responsible for the design shell and tube heat exchangers according to TEMA standards.
- Interfacing with the engineering and manufacturing team, client interface, rating equipment, CAD design, FEA, HTRI calculations and installation of the equipment at customer sites.
- Communicate with customers and sales representatives on any technical questions on the application, installation, design, hardware and costs of heat exchanger, allowing on-time submittal of bids to the customer.
- Prepared materials and presentations to ensure familiarity with the scope of any awarded project reducing any engineering and manufacturing rework by 10%.
- Experience in a manufacturing/fabrication environment
- TEMA experience
- Familiar with engineering codes and standards such as ASME Section VIII Div 1, API-661, PED, NACE MR0175, and ASME B16.5.
- Performed pressure vessel stress calculations to comply with ASME Section VIII Div 1 and API-661 to select the correct header plate thickness and size, ensuring 100% accuracy of the header plate design. REQUIREMENTS:
- BS is Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or related
- 3 + years experience designing engineered to order shell and tube heat exchangers in a fabrication environment.
- Experienced with TEMA, ASME and API 660 codes is a must.
